Mickey Brown Interview

This is an interview I did in conjunction with my first ever radio project at Birmingham City University. For the project I had to interview someone from a subject of my choice, so I chose Mickey Brown. I tried my luck and sent it off to BBC Radio Shropshire to see if they would like to play it out on air, they made some edits and at half time of Crawley Town home game they played it out on air and interviewed me as Fan of the Day. This was my first real project and looking back, I feel that my voice needs to be broader and more confident.

A game of two cultures

This short, snappy and interesting documentary talks about the experiences in which a Cypriot student engages with when he indulges in the culture of football in Cyprus and in Great Britain. He explains that in Cyprus it is more than just a knockabout but that’s what makes it so much better than football in place like Great Britain. One backing clip in this could have been quieter but if I toned it down too much, it would have made it stand out.

Sunrise Advert

I produced this as part of a university module, Commercial Production for Radio and for this I had three subjects of which I had to produce 2 commercials for each subject. This particular advert is for Shockwave gel and like the Ancestry advert below, I feel like the sound levels could be more level and better quality.

Anchestry Advert

This is another advert in my series of 6 commercials, three subjects. On this I felt like the sound levels could have been better and the backing music could have been lower to better complement the speech.

Sunrise Advert

This, the final advert in the series I produced for a uni module is the one I feel most satisfied with. My personal speech could be a tad louder but apart from that I am quite happy with the overall feel of it and the backing music complements the ad really well.
